Rihanna has become the first female artist to surpass 2 billion streams on Apple music.
The streaming giant shared their list of the 20 most streamed women in music for International Women’s Day on Instagram on Thursday (March 8).
Rihanna landed the top spot, closely followed by Taylor Swift (#2), Beyoncé (#3), and Adele (#5). See the Apple Music Instagram post below.
Rihanna also reacted to the news with an Instagram post of her own, writing, “when I found out that I was the first female artist to cross 2 billion worldwide streams on Apple Music!
God is too lit!!!!” See her post below.
She was the second most streamed female artist on Spotify in 2017, after being beaten by Dua Lipa. The rest of the artists included Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Beyonce.
