Nearly three years ago, we questioned why EA Sports hadn’t announced plans for a current-gen Fight Night video game. Well, since that time, the third-party giant has put focus on the UFC, which has been a decent alternate to an extent. However, Floyd Mayweather plans to resurrect boxing in the virtual gaming world. At his 41st birthday bash last week, the undefeated fighter confirmed that he’s working on bringing TBE to video game consoles around the world.
With EA Sports moderately looking into a possible reboot of Fight Night, Floyd re-iterated that he won’t be apart of it. He will only be seen in his pending gaming franchise, citing that he wants ownership in a project he’s involved with. Likely, fighters from all promotions could sign on as well.
