Following news last month that the character Ivan Drago would return in Creed 2, Sylvester Stallone reveals further details.
TMZ caught up with the actor in Los Angeles this week and he offered a few more tidbits about the Creed sequel.
“Wouldn’t be a party without Drago, would it?” Stallone replied, when asked to confirm the fictional character’s return.
He also hinted at a possible rematch between Drago and Rocky Balboa, 30 years after they faced off in 1985’s Rocky IV. “I’m gonna punch him. You know I gotta hit Drago once,” he said. “Tune it next week. It’s gonna be good.”
Actor Dolph Lundgren played Drago, the hulking Russian boxer who killed Rocky’s friend/fellow boxer Apollo Creed, when they fought in an exhibition match. Lundgren is now 59 years old.
Further details about the plot of Creed 2 is unknown, but rumors say Adonis Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan) will fight Drago’s kid to get revenge.
