Just one year after signing a three-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder for $85.7 million, Russell Westbrook has signed a new contract extension, worth $205 million.

According to ESPN, the deal is for five years and begins with the 2018-19 season. For Westbrook, its the biggest guaranteed contract in NBA history — six seasons and $233 million through 2022-23.

Furthermore, the deal is for the Designated Player Veteran Extension, which allows Westbrook to sign for 35 percent of the salary cap and five additional seasons. He will now earn $233 million overall, including $205 million for the new extension and $28 million for his 2017-18 salary. His 2018-19 salary, the first year of the extension, will be $35.3 million.

In the statement, Westbrook said there was no place he’d rather be than OKC.

“When you play in Oklahoma City you play in front of the best fans in the world, I’m looking forward to bringing everything I’ve got, for them, this city and for this organization. WHY NOT?” he said.
