After announcing his 3-in-3 basketball league in January, the Ice Cube-founded BIG3 pro league hosted its first draft over the weekend.
On Sunday (April 30) in Las Vegas, ahead of the inaugural BIG3 season, the remaining roster spots were closed out.
Former North Carolina star Rashad McCants was the No. 1 overall pick, drafted by Rick Mahorn’s Trilogy, following by Andre Owens, Reggie Evans, Xavier Silas and Kwame Brown.
The first season of the BIG3 League tips off June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, with games being played every Saturday, for 10 weeks in different cities. The season will culminate with championship games being played on August 26 in Las Vegas.
