Warner Bros./NPG have released the fact that in 2017 they will be releasing both a repackaged and remastered version of Prince’s ever popular “Purple Rain” album.
According to a statement from Warner Bros. the Purple Rain LP was already on the table for rerelease before Prince died. It will be packaged with another album filled with unreleased music.
But before that is in stores you will be able to pick up the November 22 release of “Prince4Ever.” This is going to be a whopping 40-track collection of Prince’s greatest hits. Some of the songs to be included are “1999,” “Batdance,” and “I Would Die 4 U” as well as a new single called “Moonbeam Levels.”
Prince was found dead in his Minnesota home on April 21 of this year. These albums only begin to scratch the surface of the plans for his music in coming years.
